Personal site Matthieu O'Byrne

Matthieu O'Byrne

Building sharp systems, real products, and technical work that actually earns its place.

I am most interested in the overlap between AI, optimization, full-stack software, hardware, design, and the kind of projects that force real depth. The goal is not to look busy. It is to build things that hold up, teach me something hard, and keep compounding.

Current direction

Student builder with a strong bias toward systems, sharp design, difficult technical work, and projects that become more interesting the deeper they go.

Flagship project

Dailysoup is live, and it leads the site for a reason.

The flagship lane is now grounded in something real: a public URL, a working app path, and a tighter explanation of what the product proves beyond a nice headline.

Additional work

Supporting work with clear proof.

The rest of the site stays selective: AI systems, robotics, and security work that add real signal without competing with the flagship.

Right now

Current focus is compounding technical depth.

The work Matthieu cares about most right now sits at the intersection of AI systems, software, engineering, and learning quickly by building. The point is to get sharper, not just collect disconnected projects.

Near-term: strengthen current public work, deepen OpenClaw, and keep improving Dailysoup now that it is live.
Long-term: move toward harder systems, sharper product taste, and stronger engineering range.
Why this site exists

To feel authored, not mass-produced.

This site is intentionally selective. It is supposed to reflect taste, direction, and proof, not become an overstuffed profile page with every possible line item thrown onto the screen.

Capabilities

Software, hardware, systems, design.

What matters is being able to move between code, product thinking, hardware, and visuals without losing rigor in the process.

Proof

Signal over filler.

The site stays selective. Each proof point is here because it says something concrete about execution, judgment, or range.

Updates

Recent work, kept honest.

This lane tracks meaningful site and project updates without pretending every small change deserves a full case study.

About

School matters, but it is not the whole frame.

Matthieu is a Bellarmine student, but the site is built around what he is actually becoming good at: deep-focus technical work, ambitious projects, and turning curiosity into output.

Contact

Minimal public contact, on purpose.

v1 keeps the public contact surface clean. Email is the main lane, Discord is visible, and phone stays off the site unless Matthieu explicitly changes that decision later.
