Personal site Matthieu O'Byrne

Matthieu O'Byrne

Building sharp systems, real products, and technical work that actually earns its place.

I am most interested in the overlap between AI, optimization, full-stack software, hardware, design, and the kind of projects that force real depth. The goal is not to look busy. It is to build things that hold up, teach me something hard, and keep compounding.

Current direction

Student builder with a strong bias toward systems, sharp design, difficult technical work, and projects that become more interesting the deeper they go.

Flagship project

Dailysoup now gets a motion-led story pass.

The hero lane is no longer only a static premium card. It is starting to stage the project like a real flagship, with movement, layered frames, and a more deliberate narrative sequence.

Additional work

Supporting lanes with real momentum.

Multiple areas are now driven by website-side content data instead of being hand-authored only in raw page HTML, so the site can keep evolving without another full markup rewrite every time.

Right now

Current focus is compounding technical leverage.

The work Matthieu cares about most right now sits at the intersection of AI systems, websites, engineering, and learning fast by building. The point is to keep increasing depth, not just accumulate disconnected projects.

Near-term: strengthen current public work, deepen OpenClaw, and prepare Dailysoup for a credible return.
Long-term: move toward harder systems, sharper product taste, and stronger engineering range.
Why this site exists

To feel authored, not mass-produced.

This site is intentionally selective. It is supposed to reflect taste, direction, and proof, not become an overstuffed profile page with every possible line item thrown onto the screen.

Capabilities

Software, hardware, systems, design.

The useful part is not raw breadth. It is the ability to move between code, product thinking, hardware, and visuals without everything falling apart.

Proof

Signal over padding.

The site still focuses on a handful of proof points that say something real, but now they come from a website-side content source rather than being frozen into the page markup forever.

Updates

v2 and v3 momentum can start here.

This is the beginning of a live updates lane for the personal website, driven by the same website-side content path as the newer homepage and projects sections.

About

School matters, but it is not the whole frame.

Matthieu is a Bellarmine student, but the site is built around what he is actually becoming good at: deep-focus technical work, ambitious projects, and turning curiosity into output.

Contact

Minimal public contact, on purpose.

v1 keeps the public contact surface clean. Email is the main lane, Discord is visible, and phone stays off the site unless Matthieu explicitly changes that decision later.
